I study issues of postsecondary public policy and finance, with an focus on historically marginalized students.

My Work

My latest study examined the role of philanthropic foundations in postsecondary education. My current research expands upon this work, focusing on the influence of these organizations in advancing public policy priorities such as equity, financial aid, and funding formulas reform.

I am a Gates Millennium Scholar. I earned my B.A. from the University of Richmond, my M.A. from Boston College, and my Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.
